Chocolate Orange Bread Pudding
- Nonstick cooking spray
- 1 ½ loaves (14.1 ounces each) Brioche Gourmet Hand Braided Brioche Loaf with Butter, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1 cup dark chocolate chips
- ½ cup sliced almonds
- 6 large eggs
- 3 cups chocolate milk
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup fresh orange juice
- 1 tablespoon orange zest
- ¼ teaspoon ground cardamom
- 3 cups vanilla ice cream
DIRECTIONS
STEP 1
Preheat oven to 350°; spray 13 x 9-inch baking dish with cooking spray. Spread bread, chocolate chips and almonds in prepared dish.
STEP 2
In large bowl, whisk eggs, milk, sugar, orange juice, orange zest and cardamom; pour over bread mixture and let stand 5 minutes.
STEP 3
Bake bread pudding 35 minutes or until top is golden brown and center is set. Let stand 10 minutes before serving. Makes about 10 cups.
STEP 4
Serve bread pudding topped with ice cream.
