Pimento Cheese Patty Melt

  • 2 burger patties (ground beef, about 150g each)
  • 4 slices of Brioche Gourmet Sliced Brioche
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 slices of cheddar cheese
  • 2 slices of provolone cheese
  • 2–3 tablespoons pimento cheese spread
  • ½ onion, thinly sliced
  • Salt & pepper (to taste)

DIRECTIONS

STEP 1

In a skillet over medium heat, melt a small amount of butter. Add sliced onions and cook, stirring occasionally, until golden brown and soft. Set aside.


STEP 2

Season the patties with salt and pepper. In the same skillet, cook them for about 3–4 minutes per side until nicely browned and cooked through. Remove from heat.


STEP 3

Butter one side of each Brioche Gourmet Sliced Brioche slice. On the unbuttered side of two slices, layer cheddar cheese, a beef patty, provolone cheese, caramelized onions, and a generous spoonful of pimento cheese. Top with the remaining slices of brioche, buttered side out.


STEP 4

Place the sandwiches in the skillet over medium heat. Press them slightly with a spatula and grill for 2–3 minutes on each side until golden brown and the cheese is melted.


STEP 5

Slice in half and serve immediately while hot and melty.
